Parents are required to inform the College in writing of planned absences, well in advance of the period of absence. Provision for work/assessment for planned absences is as follows:
The College does not provide work or missed tests etc. It is the student’s responsibility to access and complete work on SEQTA during the absence.
The student will not be penalised if they miss a test. Assignments should still be submitted albeit at a negotiated date. If test results have already been handed back the HOLA may choose to omit this result from the student’s overall results.
Representation Team (e.g. national sporting team):
The student is required to inform the teacher well in advance and negotiate another time/extension for submission of missed work/test.
Parents are required to inform the College before 8.15am if their child is unable to attend, either by email or by telephone:
Appointments during the school day:
Parents are required to sign their child in and out if taking the student from the College during the school day.
Students with a license, who wish to drive themselves to the appointment, must provide a written note of permission from the parent. They are also required to sign in/out.
Carnarvon Bus Service:
Nagle Catholic College students will have access to the local school bus service (conditions apply), which they will access at Johnson Street, a short walk from the Nagle Campus. There have been some recent changes to service so please refer to the information below for further details.
Students with licenses may apply to the College for permission to park on school grounds. Conditions apply and permission is granted at the Principals discretion.
Parent Pick Up/Drop off:
Parents are encouraged to use the sign posted Visitors car park off Egan Street when dropping off their child or picking them up.
The campus does not have a traditional school canteen. Instead, students have access to a student café, in which they can prepare their own food at recess and lunch, with access to fridges, microwaves, toasters, kettles etc.
This is designed to reflect workplace facilities, in preparation for a transition from school.
